چکیده

Micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS)-based sensors have seen significant improvements in accuracy and cost over the past several years, due to need for altitude sensing unmanned aerial vehicles wearable technologies, absolute pressure shown most dramatic improvements. This paper investigates applications of MEMS commercial buildings, including pairing two determine differential pressures between different locations around buildings. Differential measurements are commonly made buildings a number applications, static variable-speed supply fan control, air balancing hospitals, envelope duct leakage testing. focuses specifically on air-leakage testing these sensors. The use continuous addition one-time non-intrusive outdoor airflow rooftop packaged units is investigated. A comparison with standardized indicated that pressure-sensors were able estimate within 3–16% test result. In addition, magnitude stability differences can be resolved also investigated laboratory field. Results show effectively used low rise units.

Accurate Model of Capacitance for MEMS Sensors using Corrugated Diaphragm with Residual Stress

In this paper we present a new model for calculating the capacitance of MEMS sensor with corrugated diaphragm. In this work the effect of residual stress is considered on deflection of diaphragm and capacitance of sensor. First, a new analytical analyzes have been carried out to derive mathematic expressions for central deflection of corrugated diaphragm and its relationship with residual stres...

Evaluation for diaphragm's deflection for touch mode MEMS pressure sensors

In this paper, an analytical and simulation solution for touch mode Micro-electromechanical systems pressure sensor operating in harsh environment is proposed. The principle of the paper is to design, obtain analytical solution and compare the results with the simulation using finite elements analysis for a circular diaphragm deflection before and after touch point. By looking at MEMS devices, ...

MEMS-based pressure and shear stress sensors for turbulent flows

From a fluid dynamics perspective, the introduction of microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) has considerably broadened the spectrum of workable experiments. A typical MEMS sensor is at least one order of magnitude smaller than traditional sensors used to measure instantaneous flow quantities such as pressure and velocity. The microsensors can resolve all relevant scales even in high-Reynolds-n...

Novel Designs for Application Specific MEMS Pressure Sensors

In the framework of developing innovative microfabricated pressure sensors, we present here three designs based on different readout principles, each one tailored for a specific application. A touch mode capacitive pressure sensor with high sensitivity (14 pF/bar), low temperature dependence and high capacitive output signal (more than 100 pF) is depicted. An optical pressure sensor intrinsical...

New modalities for non-invasive positive pressure ventilation: A review article

Efficiency of non-invasive positive pressure ventilation in the treatment of respiratory failure has been shown in many published studies. In this review article, we introduced new modalities of non-invasive ventilation (NIV), clinical settings in which NIV can be used and a practical summary of the latest official guidelines published by the European Respiratory Clinical Practice. Clinical tri...
